Alma 32:21

Alma 32:21
21 And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.

Sonnet 723 Alma 32:21

Some people put their faith in Powerball
Or Lotto 649 or slots or cards
While others can't resist a sirens call
Their virtue sold in hope of cheap rewards.

Still others hope that work will work for them
They toil and they moil and they dig
They hope to find in daily grind their gem
Through bank accounts and houses that are big.

And some require approval of the crowd
Or look for drugs or booze to bring their joys
Or stake their faith and hopes in being proud
Ironically embracing what destroys.

We show our hope and faith by what we do
The trick is to have faith in what is true.
