2 Nephi 9:28-29 (#2)

Sonnet 569 2 Nephi 9:28-29 (#2)

Unless they take a bearing from the sun
Or stars or even far off mounts or trees
Their balance being critically undone
The lost will simply circle in the breeze.

And while the fit and hardy make good time
And cover much more ground than those less trained
If they’re just turning circles on their climb
There’s nothing by this fitness to be gained.

However, much of good is magnified
When fitness and obedience collude
A prospect true but very seldom tried
Since vanity is bred by aptitude.

Remember if you want to stay on track
Keep counsel so you never circle back.
