Isaiah 1:18

Isaiah 1:18
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Sonnet 705 Isaiah 1:18

The beauty and the poetry of this
The red and white and crimson and the wool
Togetherness as kind as any kiss
The scarlet and the reasoning with snow.

A message of eternal love and hope
An invitation reconciling sin
Atonement in its meaning and its scope
A melody to cancel all chagrin.

Come now, come now, come now. The plea
The parent pleading, promising and mild
Come now, don't wait, come now and be-
Come pure and clean, and mine, beloved child.

The sweetest kindest invitation yet
An everlasting life without regret.
