Isaiah 58:13-14

Isaiah 58:13-14
13 ¶If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Sonnet 709 Isaiah 58:13-14

What are the odds of winning Powerball
Or taking Bingo or Blackjack by storm?
What is the chance of being born real tall
Or being strong much more than just the norm?

Are you the lucky one who wins at cards
Or hits a homerun ball with simple ease?
Do you write sonnets better than the Bard's
Or can your charm bring scoffers to their knees?

It's things like this that happen to a few
Not everyone is blessed with luck like that
And almost never will it work for you
But there's a sure thing no one could lose at.

Just keep the sabbath holy through and through
And God will bless you more than luck could do.
