Sonnet
715 2 Nephi 25: 23, 26 (#2)
Those
little listening ears can hear it all
They're
learning, leaning, sifting what we say
And
even as they're testing out their crawl
Absorbing
verbal clues is child's play.
And
what do these, our infants, hear from us?
Complaints?
Concerns? Corrections? All our cares?
Or
prattle, gossip, idle talk and fuss?
Our
focus will most likely become theirs.
And
what do we record for future eyes
What
will our great great grandkids find of use
If
they explore our blog or journal tries
Will
they find mostly just our daily blues?
But
those who often write and speak of Christ
Deliver
pearls of wisdom greatly priced.
