Mosiah 3:19

Mosiah 3:19
For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and
becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

Sonnet 493 Mosiah 3:19

Who wants the artificial anymore?
Promotions of what’s natural are bold
Just look around in any grocery store
It’s natural that cries out to be sold.

And in our “feels good” value sort of way
We laud the basest instincts of the man
No talk of rising up above that fray
We hunker down, accepting any plan.

But God would have us reach a new plateau
Not artificial, but more real by far
Put off the ordinary and the low
And climb above your nature, to a star.

And how to climb is irony supreme
Put on his easy yoke and find your dream.
