Alma 41:10

Alma 41:10
10 Do not suppose, because it has been spoken concerning restoration, that ye shall be restored from sin to happiness. Behold, I say unto you, wickedness never was happiness.

Sonnet 726 Alma 41:10

While resurrection patches up some things
Like blindness or a limp or lack of hair
The things that sinful wicked living brings
The simple act of dying can't repair.

That happiness you thought might come from sin
The peace of mind that guilty pleasures spoil
That joy reduced by error to chagrin
Will not be found by shuffling off this coil.

Repentance works its magic now and here
Its cleansing is designed for this estate
Don't let it's easy access disappear
By putting off the clean up till too late.

I hope I never hear this harsh demand
What part of “never” don't you understand?
