Psalm 127:3

Psalm 127:3
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Sonnet 704 Psalm 127:3

Most miracles are very soon forgot
If even ever noticed as they came
But even interventions humbly sought
May burn a while then die out like a flame.

And some rewards are quickly gone away
There's some we eat and others that get broke
And some get lost or simply go astray
Or tossed in trash or go straight up in smoke.

But children are an everlasting gift
A miracle eternal owned and named
And even if they stray or go adrift
Their spirits can through sealings be reclaimed.

When all is said and done for time on earth
The family is the thing of greatest worth.
