Exodus 19:5-6

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Hell's Angels and the Asian gangs and such

Rotarians and Kinsmen and the like

And former Army buddies stay in touch

While bowling leagues maintain the right to strike.

It's all about belonging to a group

For safety, friendship, fun and profit too

We tend to want to be within the loop

Of those we feel some kind of kinship through.

And never mind those rabid sports team fans

Or politics or music devotees

Or unions, buffs or fishermen or clans

We all belong to one or more of these.

But one stands out in treasure and in trust

Belonging to the fold of God's a must.
