And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day
whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that
were
on
the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose
land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Sometimes
the truth is elegantly found
And
stated in a way that clears the mind
And
this, a declaration so profound
Is
of that elegant and truthful kind.
The
fundamental answer to this test
Should
be as Joshua has said so well
“I'll
serve the Lord ahead of all the rest.
And
any other master I'll repel.”
And
if you take you family on this course
And
covenant in sacred binding ways
You'll
wed your feeble efforts to a Force
That
makes a glory of your earthly days.
You
fought the war in heaven for this right
So
make and keep this choice with delight.
