Philippians 4:13
 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Sonnet 758 Philippians 4:13

For better or for worse, in thick or thin
In good times or in bad, or sink or swim
Like Sister Wirthlin, Paul says with a grin
That “Come what may and love it” works for him.

And this is not a boast of Paul's own strength
But rather an expression of delight
That he could take life's blows to any length
Through Christ who saves at any depth or height.

And all the weak and weary can abound
And all the high and mighty be abased
Through Christ they all can happily be found
United in a strength by heaven graced.

Whatever is your circumstance or test
When you endure through Christ you'll come out best.
