The precious word of God. Eternal! True!
Restoring all the ways ordained at first
Outlasting earth and heaven, and yet new
An everlasting covenant now versed.
Declaring boldly that the prophets' tongue
Is equal and a proxy for His own
The unison of God and prophet sung
Identical in meaning and in tone.
If you would keep the first and great command
To love your God with all your heart and might
You must apply your mind to understand
His Word and make its practice your delight.
And never without casting out the King
Can you discount the words His servants bring.
