In every life there's moments of despair
When enemies assail and close the way
When hardship becomes more than you can bear
And all seems lost and hope is in decay.
And backed up to the water of the sea
Was Moses and his people in retreat
And seeing that they could not fight or flee
They agonized and murmured in defeat.
But Moses had this special power to save
The gift of revelation from the Lord
To see a way to pass through any wave
A Word much stronger than the strongest sword.
So when in seas of trouble you seem drowned
The Spirit's there to help you find dry ground.
